New and Refurbished Bikes For Adults and Kids in Need

Wheels of Hope is a collaboration among Anne Arundel County Food Bank, Anne Arundel Medical Center, Bicycle Advocates for Annapolis & Anne Arundel County, Anne Arundel County Police and Bike Doctor Crofton.   Together we  provide a fresh start to those in need in our local community.  We have supported adults entering sober living housing to help secure a fresh start with career placement, educational advancements, and meeting/counseling requirements, adults reentering society from prison, at risk adolescents who completed program requirements, high school athletes with transportation barriers to making practices, as well as low income communities including children with English as a second language.     We provide a helmet with each bike and other accessories as needed such as lights and locks.   Our mission is to provide community members in need with healthy transportation and recreation, protect our environment by reducing waste and to help those in need.   The program is based at the Anne Arundel County Food Bank in Crownsville, MD.

Volunteers that are skilled with bike repair and available to help during the day, occasional Saturday mornings or at home should email and indicate your interest in Wheels of Hope repair, skill level and time availability.

You can make a tax-deductible financial contribution to the program to support purchase of spare parts, equipment and helmets by sending a check payable to BikeAAA Wheels of Hope, P.O.
