MD Rt. 175 Widening Project — Bike Lanes & Trail

There is funding and planning for the road widening and creation of bike lanes and trails along Maryland Rt. 175 from Rt. 170 to 295 adjacent to Ft. Meade.     Many cyclists attended BMC’s public meeting on January  8, 2015 and while we support the project, BikeAAA has certain concerns and recommendations regarding the bike lanes and trail.   The BikeAAA-Rt175Support-2015-01-13   2 page paper on the project was distributed today to a variety of elected and appointed officials.    We stand ready to work with cyclists and government officials to develop safe bicycle infrastructure along this critical corridor adjacent to Maryland’s largest employer, Ft. Meade.
