On January 5, 2015 representatives of BikeAAA and BikeMD met with MD SHA and County officials to review the status and revised plan for proceeding with the safety and bike lane improvements for MD 170 (Camp Meade Rd.) through Linthicum.     The funded project had been delayed due to community input and utility work.      The project has been slightly modified to preserve certain parking areas along the route at the request of the local community.      The utility work is expected to be completed in the spring of 2015 after which the project should start and be completed within 2015.  These bike lanes improve the safety of the route along an important segment between Baltimore and the BWI Loop Trail while also enhancing commerce for the shopping area on Camp Meade Rd.    For more on this project, view the previous paper submitted by BikeAAA .
