There is proposed legislation to strengthen the existing 3 foot passing law by 1) adding passing “at safe speed” and 2) eliminating an exception for narrow roads which nearly nullifies the current law. Along with BikeMD and other Maryland advocates, I testified last week in support of Senate bill547. Sadly today’s snow keeps me from biking or driving to Annapolis to testify for corresponding House Bill 588 but we have submitted the enclosed written testimony: BikeAAA-HB588-03-05-15
