Rene was an avid cyclist who rode regularly for transportation, fitness and for multiple causes like the AIDS Ride, MS, etc. She was an experienced, fit and safety-focused rider whose life was tragically taken by a truck driver while she was doing what she loved. The memorial ride will be both a tribute to Rene and to bring a public message of safety and respect to all road users – drivers, cyclists and pedestrians. Riders of all abilities are encouraged to participate and should wear a helmet.
