Heather Cook, the former Bishop who crashed into and killed cyclist Tom Palermo in Baltimore in 2015, was sentenced to seven years. She was drunk and using her cellphone and then left the scene. She comes up for parole after completing just 25% of her sentence. We find that completely unjust given the heinous nature of her actions. For more about the case, see the Baltimore Sun article.
