Bicycle Advocates for Annapolis & Anne Arundel County (“BikeAAA”) is pleased to release our 2022 Annual Report and state of county biking! 2022 was a year of continuing progress and growth as we completed the county’s first two Children’s Bike Safety Parks, expanded our Board, grew our Wheels of Hope and education programs and planned the launch of a new Cycling Without Age program to provide rides for seniors and others with mobility limitations. New trail projects began construction including the long-awaited WB&A Patuxent River Bridge and Broadneck Trail Phase 3 and more county roads got bike lanes and sharrows. Anne Arundel County and Annapolis did extremely well securing new grants and federal funding to advance the Anne Arundel Trail Network. Our advocacy efforts strengthened and we continue to make progress. Over 30 miles of new bikeways have been added in the past 6 years reaching more than 90 miles by the end of 2022.
