BikeAAA celebrated its tenth anniversary this past week during a wonderful evening at Metropolitan Kitchen & Lounge in Annapolis. This was an extra special version of our annual meeting where we shared the theme: Celebrating our Impact, Championing The Future, the theme of our first ten years:

After some excellent hors d’oeuvres and socializing among the sixty or so BikeAAA supporters, President Jon Korin got right into the program that started with the highlight video above produced by Vice President Alex Pline.

The video was followed by a round of additional highlights from Jon and reports by BikeAAA Treasurer Lois Findlay on finances and events, and two of our signature programs Wheels of Hope by Director Steve Miller and Cycling Without Age by Director Sandy Bishop (via Facetime!).

Steve Miller updates on the fantastic progress and volunteer support of the Wheels of Hope program which in provides bikes to community members in need.

As part of our usual annual business of election of officers, the terms of board members Lois Findlay, Alex Pline and Rachel Varn were renewed and we welcome our newest board member Margaret Kaii-Ziegler. BikeAAA thanks Jim Black for serving on the board and his service to BikeAAA over the years!

Jon presented awards to Officer Dominic Scali, Tanya Asman, Eric Leshinsky, Jack Greene, Rick Watts, Glenn Gunter, Sandy Bishop, Steve Miller, Lois Findlay and Alex Pline for their outstanding service to BikeAAA and our community.

BikeAAA is an all volunteer organization and again thanks all of our government, business and non-profit partners and multitude of volunteers, who all make this a successful endeavor. We have a variety of ways you can participate in BikeAAA from as little as an hour or two helping out at an event to providing unique expertise to any of our programs to helping us guide the organization for the next ten years. If you’d like to help in any way, please see the Get Involved section of the BikeAAA website: https://bikeaaa.org/joinsupport/

You can watch the complete program which was live streamed in our Facebook Group.
